Floating down the Chao Praya River at dusk is a special experience and made even better as Yui cooks up a storm for Sophie in the galley. Gareth looks at the battlefields and memorials, the museums and remains, meets with experts and observers, and explores how visitors can capture for themselves a time when families were torn apart, when sleepy meadows shook with cannon fire and American killed American in the name of their country and freedom. His island hopping continues in Bora Bora, where he goes for an underwater reef walk, and meets ”Shark Man”, who takes him out to get up- close-and-personal with some of his finny mates. Continuing on, Ian flies to Western Samoa, goes fishing, meets a tattoo artist, and partakes of a huge feast and dance. His final island destinations are the Marquesas, where he treks through the mountains to join villagers in a traditional wild boar hunt.
